Water & Agriculture
Food security remains elusive in Africa. The bulk of the population depends on rain-fed peasant farming. Due to the changing climatic conditions, this kind of farming has rendered many poor and hopeless and cases of starvation are many. Irrigation farming remains the best option in ensuring food security. Research on suitable crops is also needed and in this regard we have partnered with relevant institutions.

In order to enhance food security, Akiniita Foundation is involved in community initiatives that promote access to safe drinking water as well as irrigation initiatives. We are also involved in enhancing food storage at the village level through partial processing.
Your partnership in any of the programs is welcome.
